John Cockerill
Director
Starting with Witherley in 1996 as a Business Manager, John now heads up Witherley Services as Director.
A father to three grown up children, John enjoys spending time as a family taking in music concerts, holidays and outdoor pursuits such as mountain climbing and hiking. He completed the Three Peaks challenge in 2018 and in the summer of 2019 he scaled Mont Blanc.
Amanda Hackett
Sales & Customer Service Manager
Amanda started her time at Witherley as an Internal Sales Representative, pricing and looking after the Banbury, Northamptonshire & Peterborough area and became the Sales Office Manager in April 2018. She is responsible for the wider internal sales team on a day-to-day basis. Amanda is a huge motorsport fan and loves nothing more than taking the pilgrimage to the Le Mans 24 hour race in France every year.
Chris Wootton
External Business Manager Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire
Chris has superb experience within the industry having cut his teeth from the bottom and worked his way up. He is always happy to help and is a fantastic problem solver; he doesn’t do the word ‘no!’
During his free time, Chris can be found either relaxing at home with his family, or, on a golf course.
Tom Virtue
Internal Sales Representative
Tom started his career in Witherley as a Customer Service Coordinator and then moved to our transport and logistics team as a Transport Planner before quickly being promoted to Senior Delivery Coordinator before taking the plunge in to the sales department at the beginning of the year. Tom is now responsible for the Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire area with External Business Manager Chris Wootton.
He thoroughly enjoys playing football weekly with his Northampton side.
Chloe Essam
External Business Manager East Anglia
Chloe is another Witherley success! After starting in our customer services team, she was then promoted to an Internal Sales Representative before then furthering her development by moving in to our wider Aggregate Industries business as a Customer Relations Coordinator for Special Projects. However, the lure of aggregate merchanting proved too appealing and she returned to us in June 2018.
In her spare time, Chloe is another Witherley fitness fanatic who regularly runs 10K, often for charities such as Cancer Research UK.
Luke Mitchell
External Business Manager West Midlands & Staffordshire
Luke started at Witherley as an Internal Business Representative for the Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire areas and after demonstrating a very quick ability to learn and eagerness to succeed was promoted to the External role at the beginning of 2019.
Luke is a Leicester lad born and raised and as such is a die hard Leicester City Football fan. He also plays cricket for his local team as well as having played as an overseas player for an Australian team in Albury.
Lee Allen
External Business Manager Warwickshire, Coventry & Daventry
Lee is responsible for the Warwickshire area of our business. He started his career in aggregates way back in 1987 and following his time working in both a quarry and a competitor, made the decision to move to with Witherley back in December 2003.
He has been a source of entertainment and knowledge to colleagues and customers alike ever since.
Kerrian Neal
External Business Manager Northamptonshire & Peterborough
Kerrian has worked in many roles within Witherley since her starting with us in 1998, from Internal Sales Representative to Sales Office Manager, before becoming the External Business Manager for Northants and Peterborough in 2017. Consequently, she has a great understanding of our customers and suppliers and is always happy to help where she can.
A busy mum to two sons and two chocolate labradors means that her weekends and down-time are spent outdoors taking in her local lakeside views on long dog walks with the family.
Andrew Nunn
Internal Sales Representative
Andrew looks after the Northamptonshire & Peterborough area alongside External Business Manager, Kerrian Neal. He is the newest sales recruit after starting in with us in June 2019, but this hasn’t stopped him taking the bull by the horns and
Andrew is an avid snowboarder and frequents Canada each year to get his extreme sport fix!
Terry Ashton
Business Manager, Buckingham Aggregates
Terry heads up our Leighton Buzzard office in conjunction with Phil Egan. They are responsible for Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire areas.
Terry has enjoyed a long and successful career within the Buckingham Aggregates/Witherley family, after starting the company in 1983.
When not busy beavering away for the company, Terry enjoys fine dining and has also been known to work as a volunteer within his community, supporting the elderly.
Phil Egan
Business Manager, Buckingham Aggregates
Also responsible for the operations in our Bucks, Beds, Oxon and Herts areas with Terry Ashton, Phil brings great experience to the business having previously worked in the industry for a number of years.
Another family man with two sons, when not at work, Phil can be found ferrying his boys around to their football commitments. The youngest plays in the Pre-Academy for both Tottenham and Leicester while the eldest attends Luton F.C. School of Excellence and has an upcoming trial for Milton Keynes Dons F.C.
Sean Black
Sales Coordinator, Buckingham Aggregates
Sean started with the business in 1987. He is responsible for assisting Terry & Phil in the pricing of materials as well as assisting with operational support to Claire.
In his free time, Sean is our resident rock star; he enjoys gigging with his band playing lead guitar.
Claire Carter
Sales Administrator, Buckingham Aggregates
Claire is responsible for all the administration within the Leighton Buzzard office. She is the anchor that keeps the office in check and is the systems expert for the business after starting with the ‘Bucks Aggs’ back in 1991!
Busy mum to a 7 year old daughter, Claire is used to being on her feet constantly. So much so, that she is enrolled to complete her next half marathon in December 2019; her third within the last 18 months.
Becky Wykes
Customer Services Supervisor
After starting as a Customer Service Coordinator in December 2016, Becky was promoted to the Senior Coordinator role after completing a highly successful secondment to the Manager’s position to cover maternity leave. As well as her second-to-none customer liaison, Becky is also responsible for improvements to the order taking process and is working towards an entirely paperless department.
Becky and her chef partner are proper foodies and enjoy dining out as well as cooking for family & friends when not working
Kim Chamberlain
Customer Service Coordinator
Kim started with us in early 2019 as a temp and we were able to take her on permanently as of September. In conjunction with her customer service duties, Kim also is a member of our Health & Safety Committee.
Being a talented musician and singer, Kim is a Musical Director for two local theatre groups, and is also a rather brilliant performer herself!
Chris Walton
Transport Manager
Chris started in our transport team in January 2003 as a planner and has been pivotal in how this department has grown and succeeded for Witherley Services.
A father to three young boys, his spare time is spent with his family. This could be at the new Tottenham Hotspur home ground (Chris is a Spurs fanatic!), watching a home game or taking his boys to their own football training. And just in case he wasn’t busy enough, he also enjoys refereeing for local sides.
Jake Waterman
Delivery Team Leader
Promoted in Summer of 2019 to lead our delivery planners and assist Chris Walton, Transport Manager, with the day to day operational activity of the transport team, Jake also plans our artic lorry deliveries.
After becoming a father for the first time to a baby girl in October 2018, Jake enjoys spending time with his family or getting out and enjoying a game of football with his local team.
Ellis Rayson
Delivery Planner
Ellis is responsible for planning our next day deliveries in to our Warwickshire, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire sites. After spending time in his previous employment recruiting for drivers, Ellis decided he wanted to try his hand at logistics and planning their work.
Daniel Hinde
Delivery Planner
Daniel is responsible for planning deliveries in the very busy Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire & Hertfordshire areas. He started with Witherley in August 2018 having previously worked in a similar role within the industry.
Daniel is a home-body and family man and loves nothing more than being at home with his son and wife in his picturesque countryside cottage.
Jonathan Bull
Logistics Compliance & Major Projects Coordinator
Another apprenticeship success story! Starting in late 2015 as one of our delivery planners while studying his Level 3 Traffic Office apprentice qualification. Jonathan primarily focuses his attention on ensuring our franchised hauliers, their drivers and vehicles are compliant with all relevant legal requirements and accreditations.
In his free time, Jonathan is a keen archer, having represented Great Britain in multiple World & European Championships and has quite the medal haul from them. He also enjoys unwinding as an avid gamer with a particular penchant for the classics such as the Tomb Raider franchise.
Tiff Scriven
Logistics Administrator
Responsible for dealing with same day deliveries and working in partnership with Ellis covering our sites in Warwickshire, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, Tiff is the newest recruit to the Witherley Transport Department having started in March 2019 following a relocation to the Kettering area. She is currently studying her Level 3 Traffic Office apprenticeship.
During her free time Tiff enjoys playing cricket for a local team and visiting her family back home.
Karen Barnes
Administration Manager
Karen oversees our entire administration function from our Nuneaton office and is responsible for, among other things; paying our suppliers, paying our hauliers, invoicing our customers and also heads up our Health & Safety Committee. She joined us in August 2000 as an administrator and was promoted to Manager in 2006.
Sue Healey
Administrator
PIC MISSING Sue started with the business as a temp in 2005 and after proving her keen eye for detail was taken on as a permanent member of the administration team.
In her free time Sue and her husband enjoy travelling and more recently, long countryside walks with their newly adopted rescue dog.
Deb Hogan
Administrator
Deb started in our admin team in the Summer of 2012 and also assists with the sales and purchase ledger functions for the business.
She is a self confessed ‘tourist’ and loves visiting our national heritage sites and parks at the weekend when not all cosy at home with her four Maine Coon cats.
